Best espresso - it's the place to go. Excellent homemade food, including desserts . They also do fantastic catering - I just used them for a birthday party and they well exceeded my expectations.

This cafe is right near a daycare where I volunteer so often after my shifts I am searching for a place to relax. I discovered this place! Though it can be kind of hidden behind other buildings, it's a great find.
I mean this in the most honest way possible - their smoked salmon sandwich is to die for. They toast it for you so the flat bagel becomes super crispy. It also comes with potato salad or beet salad and I opted for the potato one because I'm a sucker for potato salad.
I got their latte and this is the second time I've been to 9 Bars, but previously they hadn't asked if it was for here or to go so when they asked this time, I said yes.
This place is always fairly busy so seating can be pretty limited. The service is wonderful - I loved my two baristas and would love to become a regular for them. People in the cafe are also very friendly. This cafe brings and overall warm environment. I'd love to come back to try their other sandwiches - hopefully they can live up to the smoked salmon one! However, it was $15 for both the sandwich and coffee which I think is a fairly reasonable amount. Other cafes charge around the same. -

I went there today with my daughter and it was fantastic. If you are looking for warm, attentive service in a cozy and inviting setting you will know right away that you have walked into the right place. And if you are looking for delicious food, right again! We had the empanada and soup combo: one chicken and one beef and they were so tasty for an incredible $6 each! We had just enough room for the Portuguese tart and we took home profiteroles. I wish I could describe how yummy that tart was but I don't think it's possible. You will have to try for yourself.
I will definitely go again- soon. -

Skip the corporate coffee bars and come to 9 Bars for an intimate, friendly space. I met two friends for coffee today and decided on this spot for convenience and also for the fact that we would be supporting an independent spot. The coffee was excellent and the sandwiches offered looked terrific (next time!).
Happy to come back again if I'm in the area. It's easy to miss this spot but it is east of Deer Park Library on a forgotten strip. -

This is a great hidden gem for any café lover. The whole atmosphere is very intimate and charming. The baristas offer great service and know a lot of the patrons. And the best part is that it won't break the bank, the prices are a little lower than what you'd find at Starbucks. Brewed coffees are ~$2.50 and nicer drinks range are around $3-4.
